Why is there a chemist stuck in my software??

There’s nothing more frustrating that not being able to remember how to do something in a certain software or being uncertain of how a certain feature works.  And in a world where we are constantly having to use software and constantly having to learn new software, it’s imperative that software be easy to use and intuitive.  Gone are the days of lab technicians and chemists having the luxury of regular training sessions on lab instrument interfaces.  We are faced with the challenge of having to proficiently use more instruments with less regular training.  And let’s be honest, most of us don’t have the time to dig through lengthy operation manuals to find the information we need when we need it.

So why not put the training in the software so that the user can access it when and where it’s needed?  And that’s what we’ve done.  We have trapped a chemist in your software so that any time you need him you can call upon him.  His name’s Dan.  If you’re setting up a batch and you want help understanding how to do so, he’s there for you.  If you want help understanding how to set up a method or what certain method parameters are, he’s there for you.  If you want a confirmation that things are going as they should when you’re running a sample, he’s there for you.  If you want help understanding the different ways you can view and compare results or the different options on reports you can create, he’s there for you.

Dan’s there to provide advice and peace of mind as you operate your GC or LC, so that you feel completely comfortable operating the system even if it’s been months since you last have, or if you don’t have a lot of experience with chromatography, or if you’re new to the lab you’re now in.  We believe that lab instruments should be inviting to use not intimidating to use, and that’s what we are committed to doing.  So lean on Dan, he’s trapped in the software so that he can help you!
